Why are they included in my profile? Alas, we have no way of knowing which articles are really yours. Author names are often abbreviated and different people sometimes share similar names. We use a statistical model to try to tell different authors apart but such automatic processes are not always accurate. The best way to fix this is to look through the articles in your profile and remove the ones that were written by others. How do I remove articles that aren't mine? Friday night at John Howie Steak, the new upscale restaurant in the Bravern, Bellevue’s new, ultra-high-end shopping destination: We are eating deviled eggs, mounded with truffled yolks whipped into submission, at a lighted onyx-topped bar in the lounge. Behind me, a group of well-shod women spoon ahi into their mouths, wine glasses perched on the glass-topped baby grand piano, a design that allows it to also function as a table, thereby squeezing 10 more diners into the clubby space. To their right, a table of Microsoft employees bite into the Happy Hour burger—a half-pound USDA Prime beef monstrosity, its brioche bun struggling to contain strips of crisp bacon and molten cheese. The din is deafening, and there is a palpable energy in the room. Of all the big-name restaurants opening in Bellevue in the past two years—Monsoon East, Pearl, Artisanal, Wild Ginger and El Gaucho, to name a few—John Howie Steak is clearly the place to be seen. Yet, with four swank restaurants under his belt (Steak; his Seattle and Bellevue Seastar restaurants; and his upscale sports bar, Sport, near the Space Needle), owner/chef John Howie hardly has the air you’d expect of the man behind this scene.
Delicious top notch food in a high class atmosphere that you'll pay top dollar for, but was ruined by a pretentious waiter. This was our first visit in 10+ years, so we started with tableside Caesar which was just as good as we remembered, light and creamy dressing with just enough tang to complement the fresh lettuce. Also had the bread basket that had a generous variety of breads to choose from, though for $6 you'd expect it to be great. For dinner I did surf and turf with an Australian Wagyu filet with a juicy, robust flavor that melted in my mouth. Lobster was a generous portion size and grilled perfectly. My wife had the sea bass which reminded her of scallops, also perfectly cooked and richly flavored. Ended with a flourless chocolate cake which I prefer more runny on the inside, but it was still decadent and a great way to finish the meal.
Without a doubt, the best service we have ever had at a restaurant. Our server, Emil, was top-notch. He was very friendly and incredibly attentive. The food was amazing with nice portion sizes. The Lobster Bisque was delicious, and the King Salmon portion was huge and perfectly cooked. We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, and he was presented with a delicious dessert.
I love me my Steakhouses and in Bellevue there wowbet casino is one that stands out for sure, I had an amazing waitress that made suggestions after asking a few questions and was more of a guide for the experience she showed me some Pinot Noir that blew my mind (I lived about an hour from Napa) which is not easy.
However, our waiter was looking down his nose at us all night, as if we didn't belong there. He gave this long drawn out presentation of why their beef was so superior, and when my wife ordered the sea bass I could hear his audible tongue click and saw his disappointed head shake. Then she asked for a mocktail recommendation because alcohol makes her flush, and he scolded her for not taking allergy pills beforehand. She asked him again for a drink that wasn't too sweet, and he sarcastically replied "Pfft, ALL mocktails are sweet!" And then pretty much ignored her the rest of the meal as if she didn't exist. She didn't want to make a scene and held her tongue, but she was visibly upset all evening.For what we paid I expected the service to match the excellent food, especially when they automatically add a 20% tip. Unfortunately the service left much to be desired.
